| Description | This collection probably only relates to a small proportion of the notices of deaths and letters from doctors reporting deaths that were sent to the coroner. The notices generally relate to individuals who were in institutions and do not provide a lot of information. The letters vary immensely in the amount of information they provide about the deceased, with some giving very little and some detailing exactly what happened and a probable cause of death. The date given is the date of the notice or letter and can be up to several days after the date of death.
