Description | Endorsed : "A Recovery Suffered the 30th of May 1720. To Cutt of[f] a terme of years granted by my Mother Mrs Eliz : Springalls - Joynture Deed of Lands in Whitley in Berks : Wch putts the ffee intirely in me......... And also Cuts off the Entayle of Lands in Burgfield (sic) & Stratfield Mortimer &c. Entayl'd by Mr Ferdinando Clarkes Will : Memor[an]d[um] : Which last Mention[e]d Lands in Burgfield (sic) & Stratfield Mortimer &c. I sold to Mr Samuel Bever of Mortimer (my then ten[a]nt for 875 : [pounds] (timber & all) upon Saturday 2d Octob[e]r 1736 - Sealed the Conveyances at Mr Deans, Attorney, at Reading in Berkshire. My Lands at Whitley being pass'd by this Recovery as well as the Lands at Burgfield (sic) & Mortimer &c. I keep this Recovery tho' I have sold the Burgfield (sic) Lands / and am to produce it [at any time?] Mr Bever shall require it".) [May refer to property contested in D/EBG/L1.] |
