ArrangementThe deeds are arranged topographically working from Pusey, as the centre of the estate, in a clockwise direction for all parishes north of the present Didcot-Swindon railway line (the area in which the main properties lay) followed by Streatey, the house of the Allen family. The remaining Berkshire parishes are dealt with alphabetically followed by Kent and then other Counties alphabetically.

At the end of the sequence two series of Wills and Settlements have been made. These two sections are formed for convenience as it is not clear, especially as so much of this collection was found in a confused state of loose items, whether the documents should not more properly have been included with the appropriate section of title deeds. In the case of the wills, the type has been indicated i.e. probate copy, office copy, original, or merely letters of administration. In both sections, some indication of the real property concerned has been given.
