Admin HistoryThe Reading and District Hard of Hearing Association was formed in 1946. Its aims were to provide an information centre on all deafness-related matters, to assist those adjusting to hearing impairment, to encourage local authorities to establish lip reading classes, a deafness clinic and amenities, and to provide social activities. From 1950 its work was supported financially by Reading Borough and Berkshire County Councils.
