| Admin History | The Talbot-Serpell Transport Company was founded in 1922 out of the road haulage business of Reading coal merchants G W Talbot & Son. Ebenezer Talbot, a sometime mayor of Reading, served as managing director of both companies until his death in 1935. The majority shareholder of the new company was biscuit manufacturer H O Serpell & Co of South Street, Reading. |
