| Description | The brothers Arthur Fitzherbert Ewen (1862-1928) and Charles Henry Lionel Ewen (b.1864) inherited the Sonning estate of their aunt Mary Isabella Golding Palmer in 1916. Mrs Golding Palmer's husband, the Revd Henry Golding Palmer (previously Golding, d.1897) was the heir of the Palmer family of Holme Park, Sonning. For earlier records of the estate, see D/EE.
The papers included here consist of those lodged with the family solicitors, and relate principally to those parts of the estate in the Oxfordshire part of Sonning parish. |
