Admin HistoryReading Guild of Artists was founded in 1930 'to create a common bond of union between the practising Artists and Craft workers of the district'. Annual exhibitions of members' work were held, and a programme of events such as lectures and demonstrations. Originally the Guild had strong links with Reading University School of Art.The Record Office library holds a copy of Eric V Watson's A History of the Reading Guild of Artists 1930-1980.
