Admin History	The society was a civic society formed in 1946 to encourage interest in the history of Windsor and Eton, and preserve and improve local amenities. It had a special interest in planning and development. In 1999 the society merged with Windsor Heritage, using the name of the Windsor and Eton Society. Records of Windsor Heritage are to be found in section 10 of the catalogue.
