Admin History | West Windsor Residents Association was established in 1962. It represented residents in Clewer and Park wards in Windsor Borough (later in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead), with particular reference to planning issues and public consultations. Significant campaigns included opposition to aircraft noise from Heathrow Airport. It was registered as a political party with the Electoral Commission, and members represented Clewer on the council of the Royal Borough from 1987 onwards. The official objectives were: To safeguard, promote and represent the interests of the resident members in the Association's area; to promote the just, efficient and economical governance of West Windsor; to render assistance for the benefit of the resident members in the Association's area collectively and individually; and to stand candidates at elections.
