Description1. 10 September 1829. Written from Luton, Bedfordshire, to 'Miss Martin', but refers to Ann and to 'your sister', the latter [Amelia?] undergoing certain trials, and appears to be written to Elizabeth. Discusses family matters and religion.
2. 14 June 1833. Written from Reading. States that 'we like Reading very much, it is a good Town and the walks very pleasant'. Describes Mr Hinton, the Baptist minister, as 'a sincere man', and refers to the proposed new chapel [Kings Road Baptist Church]. Discusses family matters and religion.
3. 22 August 1833. Written from Berkhamstead to Elizabeth at her brother's house in Reading. Discusses family matters, a smallpox epidemic in Berkhamstead, and includes a recipe for parsnip wine.
