Admin History[The Reading Barbershop Club was founded by a group called the Minor Chords in 1974 after an appeal was made at a show to start a Reading barbershop club. Original six members of the Minor Chords were Rod Clark, Brian Jones, Gerry Holland, Mike Cook, Barry Nowell and Pete Powell. The Minor Chords, and later the Reading Barbershop Club helped form the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS), a British organisation of male barbershop singers. Initially the club's Chorus was known as the Berkshire Barbershoppers. From c.1982 onwards the Chorus has been known as the Thames Valley Chorus.]
