Description(3 March 1913 Henry Tonks to Selwyn Image (copy in JMI's hand): Detailed comments on Stanley's artistic ability ('signs of having the most original mind of any one we have had at the Slade ... with great power of draughtsmanship') and flaws, with implicit comment on the Spencer family: 'if your brother can help him I shall be very pleased, particularly by sound sane advice, the meaning of which suggestion as he knows the Spencer family I am sure he will understand'; also brief comment on Gilbert Spencer.
