Description[William George Spencer, the eldest brother, known within the family as Will or Willie, was the most gifted musically of the brothers. A child prodigy pianist, he was educated at the Royal College of Music at the expense of the Duke of Westminster, who lived at Cliveden. He became Professor of Music at Cologne, Germany, and Bern, Switzerland, and his diaries tell of his life at Bern from 1916 to 1919. He eventually became a Swiss citizen and died at his home in Thun, Switzerland, in 1954.]
