Admin History | Trinity Church is a Local Ecumenical partnership between Anglican, Methodist and United Reformed Churches. Worship began in 1983, when a small group of Methodists and URC members began to meet in a local community centre. They were joined by the Church of England in c.1987.
A church was built in c.1987, and an Anglican parish formed in 1992. Ministerial oversight came from all three denominations, with at least two represented at any one time. By 2000 it was governed by a quarterly Church Meeting, a Church Council, and a Leadership Team (consisting of the clergy, church secretary, senior steward and treasurer). The church had a strong emphasis on work in a local schools. |
