Admin HistoryPrimitive Methodist worship began in Chalvey, Buckinghamshire, in 1848, at Hope Cottage, 12 The Green. In 1854 the society purchased a former Congregational chapel (later described as "small and inconvenient", with only one room, situated at 20 Chalvey Road (East).

In 1900 a new church was built in Ledgers Road. The old chapel was sold in 1903. In 1989 the church united with St Andrew's Methodist Church (D/MS 69), St Mary's, St Peter's and St Laurence's Anglican churches and Kingsway United Reformed Church to form the Ecumenical Parish of Upton-cum-Chalvey, serving central Slough, although each church continued to maintain a separate identity.
