DescriptionThe Record Papers are forms which include the following information: name, present address and duration of residence, preceding addresses, age, ordinary employment, condition (married, single, widow(er)), children (number, age, sex, employment and any other dependents), actual rent and no. of rooms (including any lodgers), description and period of last employment, date and cause of termination of last employment, rate of wages, particulars of past employment, present income of applicant and dependents (including wife's earnings or club/society membership), any relief received by applicant since October 1904, applicant's fitness, report on visit and inquiries at applicant's home, a report on the case, any previous records on the applicant, the decision in case, and the record after the history of the case. There is also an appendix which includes letters about emigration or employment elsewhere. At the front of some of the volumes there is also a slip with advice on which newspaper to advertise in and the cost per week.
