Description(Includes notes of leases, n.d. [c.1750-1751]; proposal of Thomas Parr to the Corporation for renewal of his leases, complaining that 'repeated applycations [sic] has [sic] been made by the said Mr Parr for another term in the Wharfe and premises ... without the desired effect', resulting in many years' delay making 'the necessary Improvements so very much wanted in and about the premises, now in a ruinous condition', dated 22 September 1750; letter from Parr dated 24 December 1750, complaining that Moses Willatts 'has artfully secured to himself the sole property of the River' and again requesting renewal of his leases; letter from Parr dated 12 January 1750/1, lamenting that 'I've no more friends in the Corporation', complaining that Willatts is preventing his tenants' access to the river and the owners of other wharves are threatening to impose tolls on his goods; and agreement for Parr to surrender his leases of two parts of the Little Orts, Reading, 1754.)
