| Description | Called lists of burgesses, these are lists of those persons entitled to vote in borough elections. Between 1836 and 1886 they are arranged by the three wards, Abbey, Castle and Church. From 1887 onwards they are divided into Abbey, Battle, Castle, Church, East, Katesgrove, Minster, Redlands, Victoria and West Wards. The date given is the date of publication and the registers usually remained in force for twelve months from that date. |
