SCH12/18/4-5 School Council
[The School Council was an elected pupil organisation, established in 1919. It comprised all members of the Sixth Form, with elected representatives from other forms and from the "Groups" (similar to houses in other schools). Representatives of the upper forms (from Lower IV formed the School Cabinet. The Council and Cabinet monitored pupil behaviour and decided on many school rules, including the uniform (subject to the headmistress' approval). It elected officials, including prefects, head girl and games captain, and organised charity collections. A Junior Council was established in 1945.
