Admin HistoryIn 1736, John Blandy of Kingston House, Kingston Bagpuize, left £1200 and other property to endow a school for boys from Kingston Bagpuize, Southmoor, Longworth , Fyfield and Garford. The school opened in 1737 in a house on the Kingston House estate. By 1873 it also educated girls. It was replaced by a new building in 1894, and from this date only children from Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor were admitted.
In 1968 the school moved to another new building in Southmoor, and was renamed the John Blandy Primary School.
