| Description | Records described as 'deposited' are those items, mainly unofficial, which were at various times loaned or presented to or purchased by the Royal Borough of New Windsor for inclusion in its archives. Many of these records were listed in the 1973 Handlist, where they appeared under the reference ZS. The numbering assigned at Windsor has generally been preserved, though there are a few variations; a concordance has been prepared to facilitate cross referral from the old to the new numbering. Not all the records described in the Handlist were transferred to the Record Office in 1981, and this accounts for gaps in the numerical sequence. Some of these items must probably now be regarded as lost. Where a discrepancy appears between the description in the Handlist and the description in this catalogue, the latter should be regarded as definitive.
The records in this class are extremely miscellaneous. Provenance for the most part is uncertain.
